Summary

• We stand at a critical moment in history, challenged by whether we can work together to make our world a better place for all – or be overwhelmed by the toxic results of rapidly advancing technologies mixed with repetition of ancient, hunter-gatherer behaviors. We seem to face options either of descent into an increasingly violent world or into a world where social stability comes at the expense of our most cherished freedoms. I believe there is another path: using our marvelous human capacities to develop thoughtful, moral agency, and build a world in which we and our children can live fully and thrive.
  
  After an early career in behavioral neurology and neuroscience, I’ve been fortunate to practice as a physician and teacher in a wide range of settings, and to gain experience in healthcare policy and ethics, business management, and executive leadership. Through all of this, I'm increasingly convinced that we can apply what we are learning about ourselves from human developmental and behavioral neuroscience and turn our world in a better direction.
  
  Modern neuroscience indicates that early life nurturing and love, plus hope, purpose, fairness, caring, relationship, and community throughout life, are important for healthy brain development and functioning (therefore, for healthy persons). Understanding these profound lessons from cutting-edge neuroscience can guide us to survive and thrive in times of change and challenge.
  
  Good Wolf's mission is to foster an understanding of ourselves from knowledge of neuroscience and related fields and to facilitate translation of such knowledge into individual action for better lives - and collective action for a better world.
