Summary

• I began an outpatient/23hour stay total knee and hip program at the Mississippi valley surgery center in 2007. Since that time I have performed 3000 total joints in the outpatient setting.
  In 2019 we became the only accredited center of excellence for outpatient total joint surgery in the state of Iowa and I became the director of outpatient total joint surgery.
  
  Last year I performed over 400 outpatient/23 hour total knee and hip surgeries. Approximately 85 % of my total joints are done in the ASC.
  
  Last year we began using the MAKO robotic assisted system which dramatically improved accuracy of cup position and leg length (hip) and allows customization of implants position to match patients intrinsic ligament balance (knee) avoiding major ligament releases.
  
  I have performed over 400 robotic assisted total knee and hips over the last 12 months and am extremely happy with the patients outcomes
