- Dr. López is a clinician-scientist, an academic psychiatrist with an active clinical practice. Dr. López has extensive experience in the pharmacological, psychotherapeutic, and integrative treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. His clinical practice centers on depressive disorders, with a dual focus on treatment resistant depression and perinatal/reproductive psychiatry. Dr. López is Co-director of the Perinatal Psychiatric Clinic at Michigan Medicine. He also performs consultations and second opinions for patients with chronic depression who have failed to respond to multiple treatments. Dr. López has served in several national advisory boards and has published and lectured extensively in the areas of mood disorders, stress, psychopharmacology, suicide, and perinatal psychiatry.
