  • I am the Stahlman Chair and Professor of Pediatrics, and Professor of Pathology, Microbiology & Immunology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. I am a Pediatric Infectious Disease Specialist and Perform Research on Emerging Infectious Diseases, Specifically the coronaviruses including SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV, and the novel Coronavirus nCoV-19 / COVID-19 / SARS-CoV-2. I have studied the replication, pathogenesis and evolution of coronaviruses and have developed antivirals against SARS-CoV-2.
