I am currently expanding my interests in the complimentary use of nutritional and herbal therapies as they pertains to the control if inflammation and epigenetics. This allows for new approaches to some of Gastroenterology's most challenging patients. Tightly associated with this is my interest in the microbiome as it relates to inflammation and autoimmunity. This work has expanded greatly in the recent past and I have developed a specialty interest in SIBO, both hydrogen, methane and hydrogen sulfide varieties. There are many nuances to treating these organisms and each and everyone produce biofilms which makes true suppression of these very difficult for standard allopathic medicine.
