Professor of Pediatrics, Microbial Pathogenesis, and Public Health
I'm an Infectious Diseases specialist in the Department of Pediatrics at Yale, with joint appointments in the Department of Microbial Pathogenesis and School of Public Health. My research focuses broadly on tropical diseases and molecular parasitology, with a particular interest in the impact of helminth infections, malaria and HIV on maternal-child health. I'm also engaged in program development projects aimed at building public health research and implementation capacity in low/middle income countries. Outside the medical school, my professional interests include African Studies, international relations, and global leadership development.
