  • Dr. Michael Foote is a board certified ophthalmologist having completed his ophthalmology residency in 2002 at the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City, KS. He completed both his medical school training and internship at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Trained in comprehensive ophthalmology, Dr. Foote provides services in laser refractive surgery, cataract surgery, cornea surgery, trauma and plastic surgery of the eyelid. His main area of focus is refractive and cataract surgery.

    Dr. Foote was the first ophthalmologist in El Paso to perform femtosecond laser cataract surgery, Kamra Inlay surgery, Raindrop Inlay surgery, all laser Lasik using the IFS femtosecond laser and corneal cross linking surgery.

    Founding Sun Eye Care, PA and Sun Laser Vision Centers in 2005, Dr. Foote is a third generation physician with his father, grandfather and sister all being physicians. Originally from El Paso, Dr. Foote returned in 2002 to begin his practice in ophthalmology. He has been actively involved in medical mission trips to Guatemala and Mexico. His interests outside of medicine include swimming, golf, snow and water skiing, tennis and triathlons.
