Summary

  • I am a board certified community/academic general pediatrician. I graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University and received my M.D. degree from Harvard Medical School. My pediatric residency was at Massachusetts General Hospital, and senior pediatric residency, general pediatric fellowship, and outpatient chief residency were completed at Boston Children's Hospital. At Cleveland Clinic I have served as Chairman of General Pediatrics, Director of Pediatric Medical Student Clerkships, and Physician Advisor to Lerner College of Medicine Students. I also served on the Editorial Board of Pediatrics in Review. My career is focused on patient care, education, and clinical research on common issues in general pediatrics such as injury prevention, the common cold, teething, infant sleep, influenza, and most recently healthy eating patterns. Some representative awards include Ohio's American Academy of Pediatrics Community Pediatrician of the Year, U.S. Best Doctors and Castle Connolly's Best Doctors Lists, Cleveland Clinic's Master Educator award, and pediatric residents' teacher of the year awards from both Cleveland Clinic Children's and Rainbow Babies & Children's. I am Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics at Cleveland Clinic's Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Currently I am working part-time at UH Rainbow Ahuja Women and Children's Center pediatric acute care clinic seeing patients and teaching residents and medical students.
