Summary

• I am residency trained in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med/Peds) and maintain active Board Certification in each specialty since completion of my training in 2005.
  
  Have worked as a Hospital Emergency Room Physician since 2003 where I started in rural hospital ERs all over Iowa with Acute Care. Began full time work in Texas in 2005 at the Christus Spohn Alice Hospital ER. Since then, working exclusively as full time Emergency room staff physician. At any given time have worked at all of the Christus Spohn Hospital ERs in Corpus Christi, as well as having worked at the Driscoll Children's Hospital Emergency Room. I have specifically enjoy all locations that allow me to teach students and residents: specifically Spohn Shoreline ER, Spohn South ER, and Driscoll ER.
  
  Since 2016, I have gradually become involved in Free Standing Emergency rooms, both for TLC Complete Care and now for SurePoint Emergency Center. I have served as medical director of the free-standing ER facility at Parkdale Plaza ("Midtown" location) for the last 2 years, a role I enjoy very much. In the last 18 months have been involved in representing our patients, doctors and owners in both the state capital and the US Capital to inform our legislators of health related policies that affect our patients and their families.
