- Dr. Rachel Piechowiak is a Board-Certified Vascular & Interventional Radiologist at LMG Interventional Radiology Center. She completed her fellowship at New York’s Mount Sinai Medical Center in 2012, and Diagnostic Radiology Residency at Morristown Medical Center in New Jersey, where she was chosen as Chief Resident. She graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2006, and also holds a Master’s Degree in Cellular, and Molecular Biology from the University at Buffalo.
She is involved in clinical research with topics ranging from: embolization, to dialysis access maintenance. Dr. Piechowiak is involved in clinical studies to evaluate the effects of embolization on the treatment of knee pain. She has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals, including two interventional journals: Journal of Vascular & Interventional Radiology and Cardiovascular & Interventional Radiology.
Dr. Piechowiak has broad clinical expertise, however, has a focus on embolization procedures, which include, treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, hemorrhoids, osteoarthritis of the knee and uterine fibroids. She also has expertise in the treatment of peripheral arterial disease, venous disease and dialysis access maintenance. She enjoys time with her toddler, exercise and good humor to round out her life.
