    Dr. Rao’s research focuses on stem cells for regeneration of the retina and central nervous system; epigenetics and chromatin modifying enzymes; age-related macular degeneration; diabetic retinopathy; retinal dystrophies; retinal detachment repair; and tumors of the eye.
