Summary
- I am a board certified nephrologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. I am an NIH and VA funded investigator, exploring mechanisms of acute and chronic kidney disease, with over 300 publications. I was the Chief of Nephrology for 18 years and am now the Associate Chief and Director of Research. I am a former Councilor of the American Society of Nephrology and served as the President in 2016. I am currently Co-chair of the Kidney Health Initiative, a public/private partnership sponsored by the ASN and the FDA.
