Summary

  • I practice full time at UCLA (US News #1 Hospital in California and #6 in the nation).

    I am the Robert and Kelly Day Professor and Chairman of Cardiothoracic Surgery. I perform minimally invasive and robotic valve repair and replacement. In addition, I perform all aspects of adult cardiac surgery (CABG, aneurysm, MAZE procedure, cardiac remodeling and transplant, septal myectomy for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, etc.)

    I have an extensive experience in TAVR, surgery for aortic aneurysm and dissection, mitro clip, cardiac transplantation and cardiac mechanical support.

    UCLA cardiac surgery is among the premier internationally recognized heart surgery programs.

    The new Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center has all private rooms and 30 dedicated cardiac surgery ICU beds.

    UCLA is one of the largest heart and lung transplant programs in the US.
