Summary
- I'm a board certified child neurologist and epileptologist. I currently serve as the epileptologist for the multidisciplinary Angelman Syndrome Foundation clinic at Vanderbilt. My research and clinical focus has been in determining signaling mechanisms which when abnormal, lead to neurodevelopmental defects, epilepsy, white-matter disorders, and autism. By better understanding the mechanisms of childhood neurologic disease, we can better focus our search efforts for cures or treatments which mitigate symptoms but with few side effects.
