Summary

• I am a psychiatrist in the full time office practice of psychotherapy. While I can and do prescribe medication, my interest and expertise lies in doing exploratory, insight oriented treatment with individuals interested and able to collaborate in a process involving more than the dispensing of medication. As such I tend to see people for months or years in ongoing treatment. These are usually bright, capable individuals with stable jobs and families, who are struggling with issues that significantly impact their lives (i.e..relationship conflicts, anxiety, depression, or the residuals of trauma that continue to cause symptoms or distress.)
  I have been practicing on the South Shore since 1982, and believe I am one of the few remaining psychiatrists doing intensive, integrated treatment with a population of relatively high functioning individuals.
