  • "Once a scientist, always a scientist." Darn annoying, I tell you...

So, in the last 13 years (2006-2019), I have read and digested (and got nausea a few times) close to 30,000 pages of primary research literature not really because I wanted to, but because I had to. The compulsion, if you will, came from a growing sense of outrage as I read widely about the huge amount of knowledge that has been gained in the scientific community with respect to dopamine and norepinephrine CNS processes and roles. The outrage came from how little of that information has made it to the public domain and how much misunderstanding and pervasive stigma continues to exist and, unexpectedly, grow worse.

So, I wrote a book and updated it in 2013. I have had the good fortune to "hit the nail on the head" with those who experience ADHD characteristics on a daily basis and had yet to find a description of what was actually going on that fit for them. And, I have been blessed with the repeated experience of assisting the many members of generations of high IQ, low working memory adults who, since 1971, could be characterized as significantly misunderstood and abandoned. I continue to provide evaluation and treatment services in Normandy Park, Washington (2 miles west of SeaTac Airport), but it may not be for much longer. The practice of a dedicated and knowledgeable baseline suboptimal dopamine brain specialist is not unlike holding back the floodwaters of the Dark Ages, Part II.
