Overview of  Dr. Najjar

Dr. Samer Najjar is a cardiologist based in Baltimore, MD, specializing in heart failure and heart transplantation. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College, graduating magna cum laude, and received his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed his residency and fellowship training in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Najjar is a Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University. He currently serves as the Regional Chief of Cardiology for MedStar Health in Baltimore and as Chairman of Cardiology at both MedStar Union Memorial Hospital and MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital.
His clinical expertise encompasses general cardiology, cardiomyopathies, heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, and transplant cardiology. He has contributed significantly to cardiovascular research, with over 200 manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Najjar is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has served on the Board of several health care related organizations.
