Summary

  • A good bedside manner could make the difference between life and death, sickness and health when it comes to our patients.
    It is very important to listen to what the patient has to say.

    Taking time to listen makes the patient feel special and cared for.

    It is very important to smile and make eye contact with the patient and not spend the time with them viewing a computer screen and chart.

    If the patient believes that the doctor does not care, it is unlikely they will ever improve.

    I am not a dictator, we are partners in the health care experience, we are in this thing together !

    My patients must feel comfortable asking questions and never to feel embarrassed or ashamed.

    I care very much for all of my patients and I make it a point that I convey that to them on every visit.

    I know that it is very important to listen to what the patient has to say, that is why I give them their time to explain to me what they have been experiencing. They could have valuable information that could help save time, and get to the root of the medical issue faster with a better outcome.
    I know that it is very important to Smile and Make Eye Contact with the patient and not to spend the time with them viewing a computer screen and chart while they are trying to explain to me their medical problem.

    If the patient believes that the doctor does not care, it is unlikely they will ever improve.
