Mercy Regional Medical Center is seeking a full-time Gastroenterologist in beautiful Durango, Colorado.

Mercy Regional Medical Center/Centura Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist. The right candidate will join an established practice supported by a full-service, acute care hospital. The practice has a good mix of patients with most subspecialties onsite. This unique employed opportunity offers the right person the ability to treat patients in a high quality, highly collaborative environment.

Current procedures and treatments include but aren’t limited to: •Colonoscopy / colon cancer screening

•ERCP preferred

•Endoscopic mucosal resection of small tumors

•Esophageal dilation or dilation of strictures

•Esophageal pH exam

•Flexible sigmoidoscopy

•H. Pylori Breath Test

•Precancerous lesions of the GI tract

•Small Bowel Capsule Endoscopy

•Upper Endoscopy (EGD, Gastroscopy)

About You:

  • Must have successfully completed a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty.
  • Obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (“DEA”) registration;
  • Be board certified or eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital; Obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Centura Health system, at sponsoring institution
  • Doctorate or DO required
  • MD - Obtain and maintain an unrestricted license to practice medicine in Colorado
