Hospitalist - Block Schedule, Closed ICU Providence, RI - Primarily Days

Lifespan Physician Group, the largest physician organization in Rhode Island, is adding to its hospitalist team. We are recruiting board certified or eligible, internal medicine trained hospitalist to start in 2021. This position would be working "primarily days".

Position highlights include:

  • Employed by Lifespan Physician Group
  • Competitive salary with bonus potential
  • EMR is EPIC
  • 15 shifts per month; aggregate total of approximately 175 per year
  • 0.5 FTE – 8 shifts per month
  • 0.75 FTE – 12 shifts per month
  • Additional 4 weeks of vacation
  • Shifts are from 7am-7pm; 11am-10pm (admitting) and overnight 7pm-7am
  • Physicians hired as "primarily day" will be required to work 2 or 3 admitting shifts per month and 3-4 nights every 2-3 months
  • No ICU Coverage 
  • Codes handled by teaching service; Hospital Medicine backs up the RRT
  • Patient load/encounters 15 +/- 3 over a 12 hour day shift
  • If patient load is 16-17 (moonlighters will be called in for support)
