The Division of Digestive & Liver Health at Denver Health & Hospital is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy providing high quality clinical care, has interest in training future Gastroenterologists, & will feel supported to pursue scholarly activity. The DH Gastroenterology division is part of a fully integrated network of eight community health centers & a Level I 525-licensed bed hospital with a mission of providing access to quality health care for all citizens of Denver regardless of ability to pay. Denver Health is formally affiliated with the University of Colorado, School of Medicine where all faculty have academic appointments.Denver Health delivers care to a diverse patient population. Denver Health provides services to over 210,000 unique patients, 60% of which are from diverse backgrounds. Denver Health provides care for a large refugee population and is a center of excellence for the LGBTQ+ population.The Division of Digestive & Liver Health delivers an integrated service model & offers seamless transitions between the outpatient sites & the hospital. The GI lab & clinic were renovated in the past year & the lab has state-of-the-art equipment. The outpatient provider team is comprised of Gastroenterologists/Hepatologists & Advanced Practice Providers.The Digestive& Liver Health Service performs approx. 4,500 procedures annually, including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, & flexible sigmoidoscopies. The Division also provides diagnostics &interventional procedures as well as advanced biliary & pancreatic endoscopy.Medical license to practice in CO. All physicians must be board certified within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the office of Medical Administration. BLS/CPR. ACLS, PALS, or NRP. All Certifications and Licenses required for this job must be kept current as a condition of continued employment.
