This Division Chief role is critical to the success of the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program. In addition to leading the transplant program, this position is a key clinical/patient care leader, ensuring the program's ability to maintain current and projected future transplant and CAR T-cell Therapy volumes which exceeded plan expectation.
Be a Leader in part with this highly talented, specialized, multidisciplinary team that brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge in various areas to provide care before, during and after transplant.
Spectrum Health has the only Adult Blood and Marrow transplant program in West Michigan. We provide marrow, peripheral stem cell and umbilical cord blood transplants for cancerous and noncancerous conditions.

- BMT-certified registered nurses
Our adult BMT program is just one of four in the state, and is accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT), which demonstrates our commitment to quality and excellence in patient care and laboratory practices. We are proud to offer a full continuum of transplant care, which allows our families to stay closer to their homes throughout treatment.
Education - Medical Degree (MD or DO) in Medicine Board Certification in Hematology and/or Oncology and at least one year of experience in both Allogeneic & autologous transplant. Experience with cellular immuotherapy preferred. Licenses - Current M.D. or D.O. license for the state of Michigan. Current State of Michigan and Federal Narcotics Licenses. Basic Life Support (BLS) Specific to SHMG 120 Days Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Specific to SHMG: ACLS required if stress test is performed or as required by specialty. 120 Days
