Indian Health Services is currently seeking a Full-Time Clinical Director/Chief Medical Staff at the newly constructed Fort Yuma Health Center, with an innovative spirit to assist with providing the highest quality of service to the Native American population.
This is an excellent opportunity for a board-certified in the physician's specialty by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to lead our group of Department Chiefs (Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, Optometry, Dental, and Primary Care).
The FYHC provides adult and pediatric primary care in a patient-centered medical home, and is supported by onsite Dental, Behavioral Health, Nutrition, Optometry, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Lab services. We have a total of 6 primary care provider positions: 3 Family Medicine (several primarily adult-focused), 1 Med/Peds, and 1 Pediatrician. There are about 3800 patients empaneled to the providers, and there is a great work-life balance. Clinic hours are Monday-Friday, 8-5 pm. Appointments are 30 minutes, with an average of 12 patients scheduled per day. We have no weekends or call coverage, and all Federal holidays are off.
