Locum - Primary Care Physician - Atlanta, GA

Locum Tenens Physician – Family or Internal Medicine Location: Mercy Care, Georgia Type: Locums | Outpatient Clinic | Start ASAP | Ongoing

Overview: Mercy Care is seeking a Board-Certified Family or Internal Medicine Physician to provide outpatient locums coverage for a public service clinic supporting underserved and homeless populations. Experience with HIV care is helpful; willingness to train is required.

Key Details:

• Setting: Outpatient clinic
• Schedule: Day shifts only; no call
• Start Date: ASAP
• Patients/Day: 10–12
• Patient Population: Mostly adults (18+), some pediatric
• Support Staff: 6 mid-levels (no supervision required)
• EMR: Epic
• Special Services: Defibrillator onsite

Duties Include:

• Provide direct patient care, including pelvic exams, pap smears, and employment physicals
• Be willing to train and occasionally cover HIV care and Integrated Behavioral Health
• Support quality assurance, compliance, and clinical standards under the direction of the Medical Director

Requirements:

• Active GA Medical License & DEA
• Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine (IM preferred)
• Graduate from an accredited program in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
• Minimum 5 years’ post-residency experience
• Current BLS certification
• Bilingual Spanish – Highly Preferred
• Experience with underserved, immigrant, and homeless populations – Highly Preferred
• Previous supervision/administrative experience – Highly Preferred
