Carilion Clinic’s Department of Anesthesia and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTC) are seeking a Fellowship-Trained Critical Care Anesthesiologist to join our growing academic team.

• Clinical Role: Provide expert anesthetic care for critical care procedures at Carilion Medical Center (CMC), an 835-bed tertiary academic health center with Level 1 adult & pediatric trauma centers and 49 anesthetizing locations.
• Academic Role: Faculty appointment at Virginia Tech (Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Professor) with opportunities for teaching, mentoring, and research (supported by Fralin Biomedical Research Institute-VT).
• New Residency Program: Help develop Carilion’s Anesthesia Residency Program launching in Summer 2026 (must have position filled before launching).
• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• ABA Board Certification or Eligibility.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Critical Care Fellowship.
• Strong clinical, teaching, and research skills.
