**Full-Time Cardiologist Physician with Specialty Services
**VA Providence Healthcare System (Providence, RI)
The VA Providence Healthcare System, in collaboration with the Division of Cardiology at Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School, is seeking an academic cardiologist specializing in cardiovascular imaging. The ideal candidate will have expertise in advanced cardiovascular imaging modalities such as echocardiography and cardiac MRI. This position provides an opportunity to excel in patient care, education, and research while contributing to a vibrant academic environment at VA Providence Healthcare System and Brown University Health. Applicants will be considered for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at Brown University based on experience.

*CME Reimbursement up to $1,100 per year.

*Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): A student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert care in cardiovascular imaging (e.g., echocardiography, cardiac MRI).
- Engage in both inpatient and outpatient clinical duties.
- Conduct impactful research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.

Qualifications:
The position requires:
- US citizenship (Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens).
- M.D. or D.O.
- Board certification in Cardiology.
- Full active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state.
- Completion of a residency in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
