  • The Allegheny Health Network (AHN), Cardiovascular Institute is recruiting a full time Heart Failure cardiologist to join the Advanced Heart Failure/ Pulmonary Hypertension team at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. The Cardiovascular Institute at AHN includes a comprehensive panel of physicians, including multiple cardiology service lines (heart failure, electrophysiology, general cardiology, interventional cardiology and imaging), cardiothoracic and vascular surgery as well as cardiac critical care.

     

     

    Highlights: 

    • 8 Board Certified Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologists, 5 APP’s and 3 Full Time Cardiothoracic Transplant Surgeons.
    • Treatment of Advanced Heart Failure, Pulmonary Hypertension, Shock, Transplant and VAD
    • Management of temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support as well as cardiac transplantation
    • Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure Fellowship Programs
    • Academic appointment to Drexel University will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank.

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Completion of ACGME approved Cardiovascular/Heart Failure Fellowship
    • American Board Eligible/Board Certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) 
    • Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment

    Compensation Details

    Salary and academic appointments at Drexel University will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. Other compensation associated with this position may include an administrative salary supplement, and incentive through a practice plan. Candidates with a demonstrated record of research and publication will be preferred.
