Position Details
· Job Title: Anesthesiologist
· Employment Type: Full-time
· Salary Range: $360,000 - $385,000
Practice Environment
· Role: Anesthesia support for Inpatient/Outpatient surgical and GI procedures.
· Practice Demographics:
o Inpatient and Outpatient settings
o Reports to department leadership
· Work Schedule: 0700 - 1530, Monday to Friday, with call as detailed below.
· Call Coverage: Home call approximately 4-6 weeknights per month, 1 weekend home call approximately every 1.5 months.

Teaching or Research Opportunities: Opportunities exist to participate in clinical research and academic activities.
· Specialized Equipment and Cases: Includes General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Plastics, ECT, GI, and TEE/Cardioversion.
Candidate Qualifications
o Have a full, unrestricted medical license in any State.
o Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
o Residency Training must have been completed, approved by the secretary of Veteran Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
o U.S. Citizenship: non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
o Minimum of 5 years of experience
o Regional anesthesia experience
o Board Certified/Eligible

Compensation Details
$36-38k
Compensation & benefits Package o Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. o Paid Time Off: 50 55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME). o Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA. o Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement). o Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory. o CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification). o Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided. o Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting.
