  • Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is recruiting a Division Chief in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Neurology.

    Opportunity Highlights

    · Join a team of 8 physicians, 2 advanced practice providers, and a full complement of ancillary staff including excellent administrative support, nursing support, care management, dietician, and neuropsychology support.

    · Our Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring Unit is contained within the children’s hospital and has 2 beds with a planned expansion to 4.

    · The Division has a heavy focus on neurophysiology and neuromuscular conditions and is one of a few approved centers to offer several gene therapies.

    · Multidisciplinary programs in Neuromuscular Medicine (EMG/NCV lab), Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Clinic, Ketogenic Diet Clinic, Neurofibromatosis Clinic, CMT Center of Excellence, PPMD-certified muscular dystrophy clinic and a close tie to the MDA.

    · High quality academic and clinical program with ongoing clinical trials.

    · Provide education for neurology, child psychiatry, pediatrics, combined medicine-pediatric, and family and community residents, medical students, and PA students.

    · Strong teamwork and positive work culture

    Requirements

    · Medical degree – MD, DO, or foreign equivalent

    · Fellowship trained, BC/BE in Pediatric Neurology

    · Minimum 5 years pediatric neurology experience

    · Eligible for the rank of Associate Professor or higher

    · Interest in growing an already well-established pediatric neurology division.

    · Proven leadership experience in an academic healthcare environment

    · A strong commitment to patient care, medical student and resident education and research/scholarly activity is necessary
