As an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner with SSM Health, you will play a pivotal role in delivering efficient and patient-centered healthcare services in our dynamic urgent care setting. Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Perform thorough assessments of patients presenting with urgent care needs, conducting detailed history-taking and physical examinations.

Diagnostic Expertise: Diagnose and treat a variety of minor illnesses and injuries, utilizing your expertise to order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary.

Treatment Administration: Administer appropriate medications, vaccinations, and medical interventions based on established protocols, ensuring timely and effective patient care.

Collaborative Care: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care, fostering an environment of teamwork and shared responsibility.

Patient Education: Provide clear and concise patient education on treatment plans, follow-up care, and preventive measures, promoting informed decision-making and wellness.

Electronic Health Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records, documenting all patient encounters with attention to detail and adherence to privacy regulations.

Continuous Learning: Stay current on best practices, guidelines, and advancements in urgent care medicine through continuous education, fostering a commitment to professional development.

Quality Improvement Initiatives: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing valuable insights and expertise to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of urgent care services.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

Licensure and Certification: Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Missouri (or willingness to obtain one). Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Experience: One year proven experience in urgent care or a similar fast-paced clinical setting, showcasing strong clinical and diagnostic decision-making skills.
