Practice Setting
- Outpatient gastroenterology practice
- Adult-only patient population
- Short-staffed coverage need, opportunity for longer-term continuity if desired
- GI lab supported by nurses and techs (no APPs in the GI lab)
Schedule
- Weekday coverage, Monday–Friday
- Daytime schedule with approximately 9–10 hour days
- Only 1–2 weeks per month needed on an ongoing basis, dates still available
- Night call may be part of the assignment under certain staffing conditions
Cases and Procedures
- General GI procedures including colonoscopies and EGDs
- Typical volume around 16–18 cases per day
- Ability to work with anesthesia or conscious sedation preferred
- Most scopes performed under conscious sedation in the GI lab; CRNAs available for OR cases
Requirements
- MD/DO
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active California license required (not able to wait for license)
