Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join its established, hospital-employed OB/GYN group. This is an excellent opportunity to practice alongside an experienced and collaborative team of OB/GYN physicians and Nurse Practitioners.

The NP will spend the majority of their time in the outpatient clinic, seeing a combination of new patients, follow-up visits, and return OB and GYN patients in support of the physicians. NPs also rotate weekly to provide inpatient rounding, caring for hospitalized patients on behalf of the group.

Position Highlights:

  • Hospital-employed position with an established OB/GYN practice
  • Practice located in a medical office building on the Grandview Medical Center campus
  • Majority of time spent in the outpatient clinic
  • See new patients and follow-up/return OB and GYN visits
  • Provide typical outpatient women’s health services
  • Join a collaborative team of 7 experienced OB/GYNs and 5 NPs

Schedule:

  • Typical day schedule (Monday – Friday)
  • Weekly rotation for inpatient rounding for the OB/GYN group
  • No call required

Qualifications:

  • Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Alabama or eligible to obtain Alabama NP licensure
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in Women’s Health
  • Strong clinical and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within an established OB/GYN team
