Clinical Physician Faculty - Dfmch Float Pool

Job Duties:
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is interested in a Family Medicine physician to join the DFMCH Float Pool. This physician faculty will provide the full spectrum of family medicine skills and patient care, may teach medical students and other learners in the clinical setting, and may participate in academic scholarly work.
This role will include provision of clinical care for patients at residency clinics, community clinics, and/or urgent care clinic locations. Duties will include provision of clinical care of patients, clinical teaching of medical students and other learners, departmental meetings, and administrative duties as necessary in the position.
This position may also include opportunities to work on collaborative initiatives within UW-SMPH and UW Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship promoting an inclusive environment with other faculty and staff members.

This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
Required Qualifications:

WI medial license, or eligible for license by start date of position.

Board-certified or board eligible by American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP) by start date of position.

Completion of a US Family Medicine residency by the start date of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- For an appointment at Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor rank on CT Track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CT Track.
Education:
MD or DO, or equivalent required.
