Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit team of hospitalists at Franciscan St James Health Olympia Fields Campus
- We are expanding and adding two Nurse Practitioners to our team! These Nurse Practitioners will see patients within the hospital, as well as provide back-up coverage to our pre-surgical clinic.
- Our hospital serves patients within our 214-bed facility, and while a sizable portion of our patients are geriatric, we see a wide variety of diagnoses in adults of all ages.
Qualifications:
- NP certification and an Illinois license are required.
- Experience as a hospitalist is preferred. Will consider NP experience in a hospital setting, inpatient specialty experience, or an acute care experienced RN with NP training rotations focused on inpatient care.
- Must be open to covering in our pre-surgical clinic on occasion (not a regular rotation)
- Outpatient experience, in addition to inpatient experience, is a huge plus.
- Outstanding bedside manner coupled with the ability to collaborate with patients, fellow team members, and overall stakeholders.
**Practice in the Heart of the Community**
Schedule:
- Block Schedule – Preference is 7 on 7 off; however, flexible to consider a shorter block rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Round on patients, within and outside our observation unit. This includes ordering appropriate tests, requesting consultations, and collaborating with the hospital care team to discharge patients within the needed timeframe.
- On occasion, see patients within the Pre-Surgical Clinic when the Clinic provider is out (illness, vacations)

Compensation Details
Rewards and Benefits: * Compensation: Yearly salary is $135k+; salary offered is based on years of experience. * Sign-on bonus offered * Benefits: * Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. * 401k with matching contributions. * Paid malpractice insurance and tail coverage
