Job Highlights
The Pediatrician operates in a team with other clinic healthcare providers and support staff. The Pediatrician provides patient medical care to all patient from newborn to age 18 in an office-based, multi-specialty group practice. In addition, the Pediatrician provides diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, while making reasonable and sound medical assessments and treatment plans.

No Weekend hours
This location is located in Morris County New Jersey. It is on the Hamburg Turnpike closest to route I-80. The nearest hospital is Saint Claire's in Wayne NJ.
Office Details:
Currently there are four exam rooms and one provider who sees only pediatric patients. There are two medical receptionists and one medical assistant. Each provider would have their own office.
Shift requirements we are looking for someone five days a week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is flexibility in the schedule. No late nights. No Saturdays. A minimum of 32 clinical hours per week. On call would be shared with the current provider. There is no hospital rounding.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
- Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery
- Treatment of acute illnesses
- Treatment of acute injuries
- Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene
- Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
- Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of tasks
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
- Provides direction to both clinical and reception support staff
- Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy (above 80% with goal of 95%) of E/M coding – and closing/sign off after review of all patient charts in accordance with company policies. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for productivity/PCN (percent net collection) bonuses
- Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy/paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy of HCC coding. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for VBC bonuses
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications or Education, Training and Experience
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Licensed in the state of New Jersey
- Board certified or Board eligible Pediatrician
- Completion of an accredited residency program in area of practice (i.e., family practice, internal medicine, or pediatrics)
- DEA controlled substances registration
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) certification
- Successful completion of CHC’s credentialing and privileging review upon hire and recredentialing as appropriate
- Strong computer skills with prior electronic medical record (EMR) use preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, hospital personnel and community members
- Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries
- Remains calm and effective in high pressure and emergency situations
