Base salary: $353,755 for 166 night shifts

Sign-on bonus: $30,000

Seniority bonus (7+ years post-residency experience): $10,560

Relocation assistance (if applicable): Up to $10,000

Productivity incentives: 2.5% Quality Metric bonus annually

$4,000 CME allowance

How you'll make an impact in this role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated IM or FM Nocturnist to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.
* Collaborative Night Team: Join a dedicated overnight duo of two Nocturnists, supported by a daytime team of seven rounders, ensuring a manageable pace and a strong peer-to-peer partnership.
* Lead Clinical Assessments: Evaluate and treat hospital admissions with precision, serving as the primary attending or consulting physician to stabilize and care for patients during the critical overnight hours.
* Mentor the Next Generation: Drive academic excellence by teaching and mentoring residents during every shift, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development.
* Focus on Specialized Care: Benefit from a closed ICU model where dedicated Intensivists lead all codes and procedures, allowing you to focus your expertise on high-quality medical management and diagnostic accuracy.
* Document the Patient Journey: Capture the clinical story through accurate documentation, ensuring seamless communication across the 300-bed facility and the broader integrated network.

Ascension Milwaukee Hospitals represent the heart of our Wisconsin network, featuring seven hospitals with an average size of 250-300 beds. This 300-bed facility is a hub for renowned service lines, including cardiology, oncology, and neuroscience.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
