Correctional Psychiatrist Needed ($285-295/HR)

ExMed, Inc. is actively searching for qualified Psychiatrists for an immediate locum tenens contract position at a County Jail in Dublin, CA.

Assignment Details

• Type: Locum Tenens Independent Contractor (1099)
• Shifts: Part-time or Full-time Available
• Commitment: 6-month minimum, with the option to extend if mutually agreed upon.

Practice Description

• 100% adult patients.
• All work takes place within the jail inmate housing units and clinic (outpatient).
• Average 12-15 patients per day
• Combination of initial visits for assessment and ongoing renewals.
• 16-40 hours a week. Hours are 7:00am to 6:00pm, some are 8 or 10 hour shifts.
• Client has an electronic medical record system, so candidates must be computer literate.
• Takes approximately 2-4 weeks for credentialing.
• Client needs six-month minimum assignments, but the longer the assignment the better.

Qualifications

• Active California Medical License, NPI, Basic Life Support (from American Heart Association ONLY)
• DEA - California ONLY. Must not state "Exempt/No Fee"
• Criminal Background Check and Drug Test required
