  • Morgan Medical Center Cardiology is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join our hospital-owned outpatient cardiology practice. This position is ideal for a physician passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a Monday through Friday, outpatient setting.

    The ideal candidate will manage a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions while utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to provide preventive, diagnostic, and long-term management services in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Provide comprehensive outpatient evaluation and management of cardiovascular conditions including coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and lipid disorders
    2. Interpret and manage non-invasive cardiac diagnostics including EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter/event monitors, and vascular studies
    3. Collaborate with referring providers and specialists to ensure coordinated, patient-centered cardiovascular care
    4. Oversee and collaborate with the cardiac rehabilitation team to support individualized rehab plans and ensure optimal recovery and outcomes for patients
    5. Supervise or co-sign physicals as appropriate, including pre-operative clearances, annual wellness visits, and sports physicals as needed
    6. Educate patients on cardiovascular risk reduction, lifestyle modification, medication management, and long-term disease prevention
    7. Participate in quality improvement and value-based care initiatives (e.g., MIPS, HEDIS, clinical protocols)
    8. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
    9. Support and provide clinical oversight to advanced practice providers and other team members involved in patient care
    10. Participate in community outreach, education initiatives, or expansion of diagnostic service lines

    Qualifications

    1. MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
    2. Board-certified or board-eligible in Cardiology
    3. Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease (Non-Invasive track)
    4. Licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice medicine in Georgia
    5. Current DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications
    6. Proficiency with EHR systems and cardiac imaging interpretation
    7. Strong clinical, interpersonal, and team collaboration skills

    Schedule & Work Environment

    1. Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    2. On-site support team including nursing, diagnostics, and administrative staff
