  • UToledo Health is recruiting an experienced anesthesiologist to serve as Vice Chair, Clinical Services – Anesthesiology, a senior physician leadership role with system-wide impact. This position offers direct responsibility for clinical operations, quality, safety, and perioperative performance across a busy academic health system.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and standardize anesthesia clinical practice across the system
    • Direct faculty anesthesiologists, CRNAs, CAAs, and residents
    • Drive OR efficiency metrics (on-time starts, turnover, throughput)
    • Oversee quality, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives
    • Participate in teaching and support scholarly activity
    • Recruit, mentor, and retain high-performing faculty and APPs

    Candidate Qualifications:

    • MD or DO; Board Certified in Anesthesiology
    • Eligible for unrestricted Ohio medical license
    • 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in academic or tertiary-care settings
    • Demonstrated success in OR efficiency, quality/safety initiatives, and team-based care models
    • Fellowship training and prior leadership roles preferred
