    Position Description: We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide a full range of healthcare services under the direct supervision of medical doctors. This includes acute, chronic, emergency, and preventive care to outlying village residents, embodying our corporation's mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures.

    Essential Functions:

    • Assess, plan, and provide patient care under the supervision of a physician.
    • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and compile patient medical data.
    • Ensure proper illness and injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
    • Participate in patient and family education on health-related issues.
    • Demonstrate ability to care for various patient populations according to policy and procedure.
    • Job Requirements:
    • Licensed to practice as a Midlevel in the State of Alaska.
    • Federal DEA, Board certification, BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
    • Must be willing to live in the village and work full-time.
    • Experience in primary care, urgent care, and stabilization for medivac preferred.
    • Covid vaccination plus one booster and annual flu vaccination required.
    • Work Schedule:
    • Monday – Friday, 8-5 clinic hours with patient volumes averaging 8-10 per day.
    • Rotating after-hours and weekend call with triage line support.
    • Compensation and Benefits:
    • Competitive salary based on experience: $166,400 (new grad) to $208,000 (20 years exp).
    • $20,000 sign-on bonus over 2 years, $6,500 annual CME, and housing support at $1500/month.
    • Reimbursement for license, DEA, and life-saving cert renewals.
    • Generous PTO for traveling (8-9 weeks per year).
    • Village Descriptions: 1. Village SA: Home to about 800 Siberian Yupik residents. Rich in cultural experiences with opportunities for whaling, seal and walrus hunting, and polar bear hunting. Ideal for those seeking an immersive Alaska and Native culture experience. 2. Village SH: Culturally rich with approximately 600 residents. Offers a friendly community atmosphere and new housing accommodation. Seal and walrus hunting opportunities available. 3. Village BR: Close to Nome with a sizable population, particularly of children requiring pediatric care. Supportive environment with housing provided. Enjoy great fishing and hunting experiences. 4. Village WA: A smaller community with around 100 residents, offering a slower pace of life. Enjoy picturesque views of the Siberian coast and new housing accommodations. Ideal for those seeking a tranquil location.

    $166-208k

    Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience: $166,400 (new grad) to $208,000 (20 years exp). $20,000 sign-on bonus over 2 years, $6,500 annual CME, and housing support at $1500/month. Reimbursement for license, DEA, and life-saving cert renewals. Generous PTO for traveling (8-9 weeks per year).
