University of Miami Medical Group Staff Physicians - Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine

The Division of Nuclear Medicine in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a Staff Physician in Nuclear Medicine to join our expanding imaging team. Staff Physicians at the University of Miami serve as vital members of our satellite practice locations, providing high-quality clinical care in collaboration with UHealth faculty and community providers. This position offers the opportunity to practice at one of our premier UHealth sites while engaging in a collegial, academically enriched environment supported by the resources of a leading academic health system. The ideal candidate will provide expertise in the full scope of nuclear medicine imaging and therapy, including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, diagnostic nuclear studies, and radiopharmaceutical therapy. Experience in theranostics and nuclear oncology imaging is highly desired, as the division is actively engaged in therapies for thyroid cancer, lymphoma, neuroendocrine tumors, and prostate cancer.
The successful applicant will join a department of 80+ clinical radiologists who are involved in imaging at multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital (a primary, tertiary, and quaternary care County hospital) and from the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics is highly desired as the Division is quite active in conventional and new therapies for thyroid cancer, lymphoma, neuroendocrine tumors, and prostate cancer, to name a few.
- Supervise the performance of technical personnel.
- Be part of the on-call schedule.
- Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of Nuclear Medicine.
- Provide Nuclear Medicine consultation as requested.
- Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the Division Director or Chair.
- Potential participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research.
- Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Medical Degree
- Diagnostic Radiology Residency
- Nuclear Medicine Fellowship
Certification and Licensing:
- American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certified – Preferred
- Nuclear Medicine Board (ABNM) Certified or Board Eligible
- Florida Medical License or Eligible
Experience:
- Competitive applicants will have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine. Prior experience in a cancer centric practice setting preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
- Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics is highly desired as the Division is quite active in conventional and new therapies for thyroid cancer, lymphoma, neuroendocrine tumors, and prostate cancer, to name a few.
- In addition to the rich clinical experience, faculty will participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conference.
