Job Highlights
Duke Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider in the Duke Memory Disorders Clinic located in Durham, NC. This APP will work in collaboration with attending physicians, collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations, and provide direct patient care services to patients with memory or cognitive issues.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Perform triage, physical exams, collect and document data, conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Order and schedule laboratory studies, diagnostic procedures and professional consultations, prescribe appropriate interventions and medications including anti-amyloid infusion therapies, coordinate the care of patients, and provide direct patient care services.
- The NP/PA may also perform procedures such as skin biopsies and lumbar punctures as needed.
- Analyze clinical practice patterns to provide the best medical care and to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
Schedule
Primary hours will be Monday through Friday, day shift, with hours flexible to meet the needs of the patients
Education and Experience
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, with a Master's degree in Nursing. Or, completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. A Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred. APP experience in neurology strongly preferred.
