Schedule
- Call coverage needed
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday, some vacation weekday call coverage 6a-6a
- Only 1-2 weeks per month
Procedures and Cases
- General CV/Thoracic Surgery - open
- Coronary artery bypass surgery - on pump & Off-pump
- Congenital defects (ASD< VSD, PFO, etc.)
- Valvular Repair & replacement
- Aneurysm Repair - Cardiac & Aorto-thoracic
- ECMO Cannulation and Patient stabilization for transport
Requirements
- Board Certified (Cardiovascular Surgery)
- Active Colorado License or Active IMLC
- Able to perform all required procedures
- Must be able to perform heart surgery - focus on cardiac cases
- Dissections (with proof of recent case logs)
- Strong surgical case volume
- Active ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
- Clean background/no malpractice
- COVID vaccinated
- Required to supervise and provide clinical oversight as appropriate while on call
