The Department of Emergency Medicine at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson is actively seeking an Emergency Medicine physician. This is an exciting role for a dynamic physician to join a faculty team involved in medical education, including key teaching roles for medical students, residents and fellows. The physician hired will have a faculty appointment at the University of Arizona with the appointment being consistent with the candidate's credentials.

Essential Functions

  • Full-time position
  • Shift-based scheduling, shifts will vary
  • Will support two campuses; overall average patient volume: 136,000 annually
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Constant learning environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • BC/BE in Emergency Medicine
  • Excellent clinical skills
  • Interest in teaching/mentoring residents
  • Excellent bedside teaching
  • Team player

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in academic medicine
  • Fellowship training in an aligned medical sub-specialty
