This Primary Care Physician position is under the general supervision of the VISN CRH Associate Director of Primary Care. A Clinical Resource Hub (CRH) is a clinical and administrative staff repository that serves Veterans Affairs facilities within a Veterans Integrated System Network (VISN). Staff within the CRH are expected to provide interprofessional services to VISN facilities underserved or experiencing gaps in clinicians due to the inability to match provider supply with demand. Services provided by CRH staff are conducted via multiple modalities, including virtual and in-person care.

Primary duties are, but not limited to:

  • Provides Primary Care services to a panel of patients at one of the VISN facilities through virtual and in-person as part of an interprofessional primary care team in the VHA Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model.
  • Works as part of a virtual and in-person primary care team and patient site care team members to provide primary care to Veterans.

  • Clinical Video Telehealth (CVT) is the primary modality for treating patients, with 'video into the home' and telephone modalities used for additional care modalities. However, this position may require occasional travel to VISN medical centers or Community Based Outreach Clinics (CBOC).

  • Provides interprofessional services to VISN facilities underserved or experiencing gaps in clinicians due to the inability to match provider supply with demand.
  • Provides care through on-site care and is a Mission Act 402 requirement.

Note: All CRH Primary Care Physicians assigned to a PACT team will be required to travel (Travel Cost and daily per-diem paid by VA) to the VA treatment facility they work with for one week, Mon-Fri (Mon & Friday are travel days) every 90 days for face-to-face encounters. If hired for locums-type services.

Work Schedule: Telework Monday-Friday, 8am- 4:30pm PST/MST. Schedule may vary for deployments, with hours worked in PST, MST, or AKST

Compensation Details

VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package. VHA Physician Total Rewards. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office. See Duties for more information.
