Penn State Health Functional Neurosurgery Opportunity

The Department of Neurosurgery at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is currently seeking an ABNS certified or eligible neurosurgeon with fellowship training in functional neurosurgery. The fellowship must be accredited by the Society of Neurological Surgeons’ Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training (CAST) or its equivalent.
This is an academic practice position specializing in functional neurosurgery. The successful candidate is expected to excel in patient care, research and education. A track record of academic productivity, teaching experience and clinical excellence is required. We have a very busy functional neurosurgery service, with outstanding neurology support. The Department of Neurosurgery is highly ranked in NIH funding and numerous basic and clinical research opportunities exist. This faculty member will serve as a mentor for residents in the Penn State Neurosurgery residency program and fellows in the Penn State CAST accredited functional neurosurgery fellowship.
The Penn State Department of Neurosurgery is a component of Penn State Health, a multidisciplinary medical group offering services throughout Central Pennsylvania and the Penn State College of Medicine. The practice will be at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, the academic flagship hospital of Penn State Health. Academic rank and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
