Job Highlights
Duke Health is seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the Duke Raleigh Head and Neck and Thoracic Medical Oncology team on the campus of Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate has exceptional internal medicine skills and oncology experience. They will work with a multidisciplinary team providing direct patient care services.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Promote and maintain high standards of patient care throughout the continuum of cancer diagnosis.
- Elicit detailed and accurate patient histories and perform through physical examinations.
- Order appropriate diagnostic imaging and tests to determine medical and post treatment diagnoses, patient conditions, treatment toxicities.
- Formulate appropriate treatment plans with critical thinking skills and high-level clinical judgement including prescribing appropriate medications.
- Participate in clinical research projects and understand the importance of documentation of toxicities and data collection.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8 clinic sessions and 2 administrative sessions per week with flexibility to meet clinic needs. No weekends and no night call or weekend call.
Education and Experience
Must have unrestricted RN licensure issued by or recognized by the NCBON with authorization to practice as a NP. Or, must have unrestricted medical license issued by NCMB with authorization to practice as PA. 1+ years of APP experience strongly preferred.
