Graduates of family medicine residency training programs that have been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) will no longer be required, at any point, to write exams for full licensure in Manitoba. These recent regulatory changes also include the elimination of an initial period of practice assessment, supervised practice, and provisional licensure. Instead, as a DABFM, you will be granted full licensure for practice in Manitoba and will be deemed to be practice-ready upon arrival in Manitoba.
