MountainView Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico, is seeking a full-time BC/BE neurohospitalist to establish a dedicated 100% inpatient neurology service. As a JCAHO-certified Primary Stroke Center equipped with a 23-bed ICU and an 18-bed stepdown unit, you will have the infrastructure, community neurosurgery support, and dedicated interventional radiology needed to deliver top-tier neurological care.

Position Highlights

  • Practice Setting: 100% inpatient neurohospitalist role.
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Volume: Highly manageable workload with an average of 5 hospital consults per day.
  • Call Responsibilities: On-call coverage required outside of standard hospital hours (robust tele-neurology support is utilized to assist with coverage).
  • Clinical Scope: EEG interpretation is required. Lumbar punctures are at the provider's preference. Leadership and subspecialty development are highly encouraged.
  • Technology: Medhost EMR (transitioning to Cerner in February 2027).
  • Academics: Opportunities to teach Internal Medicine and Transitional Year residents, alongside medical students from the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Qualifications We are looking for clinicians who value patient relationships and collaborative care. Are you:

  • A clinician who enjoys the acuity of the hospital setting and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams?
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology? (Experienced physicians and new graduates are welcome to apply; fellowship training is preferred).
  • Note: J1 waivers are available. H1B transfers are accepted for candidates currently awaiting their green card.
