Dayton Children’s Hospital, located in Dayton, Ohio, is recruiting for a half-time physician informaticist combined with a half-time general pediatrician or fellowship trained pediatric subspecialty physician. Successful candidates must have Clinical Informatics Board eligibility/certification or preparatory experience for future Board eligibility. Also, board eligibility/certification in general pediatrics or a pediatric subspecialty is required as well as obtaining an unrestricted Ohio medical license. Previous management/leadership experience is preferred. This is a full time, employed position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
The Physician Informaticist works under the direction of the Chief Medical Informatics Officer to represent clinicians and other healthcare team members in relationship to health information technology. They function as a knowledgeable practitioner, and as a consultant and leader to maintain and improve system services. They will serve in an operational role and will be responsible for supporting the development of health information systems that assist clinicians in the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care consistent with the values, mission, and strategic plan of Dayton Children’s Hospital. The role of the other half-time position will be determined as the specialty requires.
